My name is Selena Hodgson, and I’ve been married to the love of my life, Jayson Hodgson, since 2000. We are blessed with two wonderful boys. Our eldest son, Clinton, is my biggest helper and absolutely adores the puppies. He’s married to a loving and caring wife, Vivian, who shares our passion for puppies and even makes beautiful clothes for them. Our youngest son has an inseparable bond with the puppies. You’ll often find him with one in his lap while watching cartoons in the morning or out in the field capturing the stunning photos you see on our website. Why does our family matter to you? For most breeders, the dogs are like their children. In many cases, puppies may not meet kids until they’re 3 or 4 months old. But we’ve learned that the best socialization starts at an early age by exposing pups to real-life situations, including interactions with children. Children are naturally energetic, louder, and shorter than adults, which can make dogs uneasy if they’re not exposed early on. I remember watching how show dogs reacted to my eldest son when he was little—there was barking, growling, and even cowering. This experience taught us the importance of socialization, not just for families with kids but for anyone who might encounter children on walks, at the dog park, or even at the vet. Wouldn’t it be reassuring to know your new puppy is well-socialized and calm around children? It will be easy to just want to pamper your new puppy, but establishing good habits at a young age is crucial to being able to enjoy your puppy long term. You will thank yourself later for starting house training and good obedience habits at a young age.
Puppies and dogs will require regular visits to a vet to keep them healthy. Make sure you find a vet that you are comfortable with becuase you will be needing one when you adopt a puppy.
Your puppy will thrive on lots of love and attention; have fun bonding with and loving on your puppy, it will love you in return! Daily walks, plenty of play time, chew toys, and exercise will keep your puppy from becoming bored and destructive.

RESERVE YOUR PUPPYThe first step is to contact the breeder of the puppy directly. In the event the breeder is unresponsive to your inquiry, you can contact us for assistance. All breeders are expected to guarantee the health of their puppies in accordance with their state's laws.
DC State Law requires a puppy to be 8 weeks old before it can leave the breeder's home. Please make arrangements with the breeder to pick up your new puppy or have them shipped to you if need be.
